Why small gestures matter
Kelvyn Eglinton, Chief Executive Momentum Waikato
I’m not Maaori, but when I go on to a marae, I face the haka powhiri and acknowledge the welcome, I take my shoes off when entering the wharenui, and I don’t sit on the tables in the wharekai.
Women Supporting Women
When the call went out for students to help with meet-and-greet and waitressing duties for the Waikato Women’s Fund launch in July 2018, Waikato Diocesan School for Girls stepped up, beginning a special connection that now sees the two organisations supporting the women of the Waikato.
Diverse support for Inclusion Fund

The new Waikato Inclusion Fund, launched by Momentum Waikato Community Foundation in response to the Christchurch terrorist attack on 15 March, has been receiving donations both large and small, from creatives, corporates and concerned citizens.
Looking forward to living next door to the theatre
“I believe the proposed site of the new theatre in the South End of Victoria Street will be the key to its impact,” says future neighbour Vicky McLennan.
